Documents included in the new release of Epstein Files published by the Department of Justice show that Jeffrey Epstein met with a former governor of Puerto Rico and travelled extensively around the archipelago.

Here is Jeffrey Epstein with former Governor Aníbal Acevedo Vilá at La Fortaleza (the Governor's Mansion) in San Juan:

"In 2005, Mr. Epstein was referred to La Fortaleza as an investor interested in investment opportunities in Puerto Rico. Like many others, he was received and then referred to the Department of Economic Development, then headed by attorney Jorge Silva Puras. After that, he showed no further interest in investing in Puerto Rico," Acevedo Vilá told a local news outlet.

Acevedo Vila served as governor of Puerto Rico between 2005 and 2009. It's likely that the picture was taken in late 2005 given that a set of picture sheets titled "Puerto Rico 05" is can be found between picture sets with the titles "LSJ XMAS05" and "Clouds 01/06" in the documents.

The documents include an Orbitz travel itinerary documenting an airplane trip in September 22, 2005 from New York to Puerto Rico, and another trip from San Juan to St Thomas Island in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The date of the second trip is basically unreadable. You can find the document here.

For context, the Palm Beach police began investigating Epstein in March 2005 and he was arrested in July 2006 after a grand jury indicted him on a single count of soliciting prostitution, according to the Associated Press. The minor charge drew great criticism, including from Palm Beach police leaders. The FBI began an investigation around that time. Im skipping ahead a bit but Epstein plead guilty to state charges of one count of soliciting prostitution and one count of soliciting prostitution form someone under the age of 18, per the AP. The U.S. attorney's office agreed not to prosecute Epstein for federal crime in a secret arrangement.

I've previously written about Puerto Rico appearing in the Epstein Files. You can find that report here. According to a document first reported by journalist Daniel Boguslaw, someone named Harry Fisch tried to set up a meeting between Epstein and former Governor Ricardo Rosselló.

Another photo, likely from the same meeting, pictures Jorge Silva Puras, former Chief of Staff under Acevedo Vilá. In 2005, he would have been either secretary of the Department for Economic Development and Commerce or executive director of the Puerto Rico Industrial Development Company, according to his LinkedIn.

Journalist Robby Cortés first identified Silva Puras after I shared the photo with him.

There are separate full photos (as in not part of the photo sheet) that I have been able to find that show Epstein inside La Fortaleza.

From the photo sheet titled "Puerto Rico 05," it's clear that Epstein travelled extensively throughout Puerto Rico. The pictures show that he walked around La Fortaleza and Old San Juan, as well as around the beaches of the archipelago. The picture with Acevedo Vilá is redacted in the photo sheet.

Here are some of the photosheets, which include pictures of boats, islands, the sky, the sea, and a girl's ass. The entire photo sheet can be found here:

The photosheet "Puerto Rico 05" was likely contained in two separate discs titled "LSJ Puerto Rico" and "LSJ Puerto Rico (2)." Photos of the discs are included inside the documents released by the DOJ. You can find pictures of them here and here.

The final document I have been able to find that mentions or shows Puerto Rico is seemingly an itinerary dated "7/01/19." It seems to be a about a specific person whose name has been redacted. However, the words "casting, hostessing" can be found near where her name would be. Additionally, the sentence "17 at the time" can be found next to the itinerary.

The itinerary includes being invited to a party, a REDACTED event in Baltimore, and a line that just reads "Whole crew - in Puerto Rico, nothing filmed."

A section in the lower part of the document reads "snapped at JE, acted mean," as well as the phrases "GM: put parties together, hostess, club promoter" and a redacted section followed by "Big in '98".

The document ends with "never alone w/him"

If you are interested in searching through the files yourself, I've uploaded them to a Google Pinpoint, which can be found here:
